First, we want to thank you for putting your trust in us by selecting one of our wheelchairs. The electric wheelchairs supplied by Vermeiren are the result of studies and experience over many years. During the development, simplicity of operation and servicing was especially emphasised.
Instruction Manual ASCEND 09/2008 GENERAL NOTES The ASCEND electric wheelchair is equipped with two motors of 300 Watt each. The ASCEND is designed for outdoor use, but it can also be used indoors because of its manoeuvrability and compact construction.
Consult your specialist dealer when this happens. The ASCEND model can be fitted with equipment that can electrically adjust the inclination of the seat and the backrest, as well as the height of the seat and the angle off the legrests.
( to sit closer at a table for example). SEAT AND BACK In the standard version your ASCEND has a seat and a backrest that can be mechanical adjusted. MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE BACK For easier stowing of the electric wheelchair in a vehicle, the back can be folded down forwards (after loosening the velcro attached seat) or backwards.

If you want to adjust the depth of the chair you have to remove the motor of the electrical adjustment of the back first (if you have chose this option) so you can reach the desired bolts.
Instruction Manual ASCEND 09/2008 Make sure no objects and/or persons are inside the swinging reach of the wheelchair at the rear, since this could cause damage and/or injury. For your safety this function can only be adjusted when all four wheels of the wheelchair are standing still.
