4.2.5 A peripheral device or an electronic device can not
work when it is connected to the computer.
See if the cable between the device and the computer is well
connected.
See if the device is turned on and in a normal working status.
Read the user guide of the device and configure it and your
computer in compliance with the requirements in the guide.
See if the computer port connected with the electronic device is
disabled in BIOS.
See if the port configuration and electric standard meets the
requirements of the device or is compatible with it.
See if the device can work normally when it is connected with
other portable computers.
See if the device of other model can work normally when it is
connected with you portable computer. If the methods above
mentioned do not work, contact Lenovo licensed service
agencies.
4.2.6 You can not dial‐up with the computer.
See if the telephone line is well connected to the Modem port on
the computer.
See if you have hung up your telephone and extensions.
If you are using ISDN, see if the ISDN devices are working well.
See if your telephone line is working well and can dial an outside
number.
If you are using an extension line in a hotel or other places, see if
it supports dial‐up Internet access service.
