When to Use CD-RW Discs
CD-RW
enables you to record information to a CD, then rewrite new information to it. Use CD-RW discs for:
Transporting large data files between computers

Storing large files while you work on them

Updating important files each week

Backing up data from your hard drive

Advantages of CD-RW over CD-R:
Enables you to erase the data and rewrite new information (for example, updating files)
