EVERY 100 HOURS

BChanging Engine Oil
To avoid personal injury:
A Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
before changing the oil.
A Allow engine to cool down sufficiently; oil can
be hot and may cause burns.
1. To change the used oil, remove the drain plug at the
bottom of the engine and drain the oil completely. The
used oil can be drained out more easily if the engine is
warm.
2. Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the
dipstick.

3. To check the oil level. Remove the dipstick, wipe it
clean, insert it and draw it out again. Check to see that
the oil level is between the two marks.
PERIODIC SERVICE
BChecking Spark Plug Condition & Gap
To avoid serious injury:
A Do not check sparking of the spark plug with it
removed, fire may occur.
Remove the spark plugs, check condition, and reset the
gap or replace with new plugs as necessary.
1. Open the hood.
2. Before removing spark plugs, clean the area around
the base of the plug to keep dirt and debris out of the
engine.
3. Remove the spark plug wires from spark plugs.
4. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plugs.
5. Remove plugs and check its condition.
Replace the plug if worn or reuse is questionable.
6. Inspect spark plugs for cracked porcelain, pitted
electrodes, or other wear and damage. Replace the
spark plug if necessary.
(1) Spark plug
A Do not clean the spark plug in a machine using
abrasive grit. Some grit could remain in the spark plug
and enter the engine, which may cause extensive
wear and damage.

A Make sure that the spark plug wires are inserted to
original position securely after checking.
A Missing connecting the spark plug wires causes high
temperature on catalyst in muffler.
