To Remove an SFP Module

Unplug the optical fiber or electrical cable from the SFP module.

Remove the SFP module according to the instructions below.
To remove a Tab SFP module, pull the tab gently until the module disengages
from the port. Pull the SFP module out.
To remove a Button SFP module, gently press the actuator/button on the front
of the module until it clicks and the latch mechanism activates, releasing the
module from the port.
To remove a Cam latch SFP module, remove the rubber dust plug from the
module if present. Open the latch on the module and then pull the module
out.
Note: To protect the module, it is recommended that you insert a clean rubber
dust plug.
