  • Page 8 Door handle Press the finger-bar inside the door handle to open the door. IMPORTANT: A SPECIAL SAFETY DEVICE PREVENTS THE DOOR FROM OPENING AT THE END OF THE WASH/SPIN CYCLE. AT THE END OF THE SPIN PHASE WAIT UP TO 2 MINUTES BEFORE OPENING THE DOOR.

  • Page 10 1200/600 button The machine gradually increases the final spin speed to the maximum possible speed. The button reduces spin speed to 600 r.p.m. Note: This function is not available when the automatic washing/drying cycle is selected. Note: this model is fitted with an electronic device that checks the load is balanced correctly.
  • Page 11 DRYING TIME SELECTOR KNOB Rotates in both directions This knob sets a programme or a drying time up to a max. 120 minutes with a cool down final phase of 10 minutes. If the drying time is selected before or during the wash cycle the machine will automatically commence the drying programme.

Programmes according to CENELEC EN 60456. Only with the Prewash button selected.     Programme selector For the various types of fabrics and various degrees of dirt the washing machine has different programme bands according to: wash cycle, temperature and length of cycle (see table of washing cycle programmes). RESISTANTS FABRICS The programmes have been designed for a maximum wash and the rinses, with spin intervals, ensure perfect rinsing.

SYNTHETICS DRYING Drying for Mixed fabrics (synthetics/cotton), synthetic fabrics. WOOLMARK PROGRAMME A programme dedicated to washing fabrics labelled with the woolmark . The cycle comprises of alternate periods of activity and pauses.

In fact, this washing machine is equipped wit 2 daily rapid programmes at 40°C, that were just studied for lightly soiled fabrics and medium or little load.

    Detergent drawer The detergent drawer is split into 3 compartments: - the compartment labelled "I" is for prewash detergent; - the compartment labelled " " is for special additives, fabric softeners, fragrances, starch, brighteners etc; - the compartment labelled "II" is for main wash detergent.

    Useful advice for users Tips on using your domestic appliance in the most environmentally-friendly and economical Do a full load in your washing machine To prevent any possible waste of energy, water or detergent we recommend that you put a full load in your washing machine, not exceed the recommended maximum load size.

    DRYING DON’T DRY GARMENTS MADE FROM FOAM RUBBER OR FLAMMABLE MATERIALS. IMPORTANT: THIS DRYER CAN ONLY BE USED FOR LAUNDRY WHICH HAS BEEN WASHED AND SPIN DRIED. WARNING: Indications given are general, therefore some practice is needed for the best drying results. We recommend setting a lower drying time than indicated, when first using, so as to establish the degree of dryness required.

Ensure mains power is off, then unclip the hose and point it downwards into a basin until all the water has emptied out.

    Installation After removing the machine from the packaging, proceed A C D as follows: On the back of the machine 1) Unscrew the centre brace A, the two side screws C and remove the transverse bracket D and the relevant plastic spacer.
  • Page 32: Water Supply

    Water supply The machine has an inlet hose with 3/4» threaded ferrules fitted to the ends to attach between the threaded connector on the appliance and the cold water supply. The appliance must be connected to the water mains using new hose-sets. The old hose-sets should not be reused.
  • Page 33 The socket in your home and the plug on the appliance must be of the same type. It is generally not advisable to use multiple adapters and/or extension leads. All Philco washing machines comply with the safety requirements laid down by the Quality Trademark Institute.
