ASSEMBLING THE PRIMARY SHEAVE

1.Clean:
Primary sliding sheave face 1
G
Primary fixed sheave face 2
G
Collar 3
G
Weights 4
G
Primary pulley cam face
G
NOTE:
Remove any excess grease.
2.Install:
Weights 1
G
NOTE:
Apply Yamaha Grizzly grease (90 g) to the
G
whole outer surface of the weights and
install.
Apply Yamaha Grizzly grease to the inner
G
surface of the collar.
Apply Yamaha Grizzly grease to the inner
G
surface of the primary sliding sheave.
3.Install:
Spacer
G
Sliders 1
G
Primary pulley cam 2
G
Primary sliding sheave cap
G

ASSEMBLING THE SECONDARY SHEAVE

1.Apply:
BEL-RAY assembly lube
G
(to the secondary sliding sheave 1 inner
surface and oil seals)
2.Install:
Secondary sliding sheave 1
G
Secondary fixed sheave 2
G
NOTE:
Align the alignment mark a on the secondary
sliding sheave with the hole b in the guide pin
that is aligned with the rivet c on the
secondary fixed sheave.
