E N G I N E C O N S T R U C T I O N

This engine uses a chrome plated brass sleeve with a tapered cylinder wall. When the engine
is cold, the piston will feel tight when rotated through the top of its stroke, or Top Dead
Center (TDC). This is normal. The cylinder will expand and will achieve correct clearance once
normal operating temperature has been reached.

NOTE: When this engine is new, DO NOT try to turn the crankshaft and rotate the piston
through TDC, as this will jam the piston in the cylinder.
