3. Replacing starter rope (Ref. Fig. 13)

Unscrew the screws (2) on the flywheel/starter cover (1) and remove the

Remove the spring clip (8), remove the rope rotor (7) with pawl (9).

Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screw plug (3) on top of the starter grip,

remove the starter rope (4) out of the grip.
Put a new rope down through the grip and the rope guide bushing (5), make a

simple knot at the end of the rope and screw in the screw plug (3)
Thread the rope through the rope rotor (7) (enter from the hole on the rotor
