The Bose

SoundTouch

music system, the SA-4 amplifier system (both use the Airplay version of the wireless adapter), and

the Lifestyle and VideoWave SoundTouch compatible systems (they use the non-Airplay version).

The wireless adapter connects to these

systems via the Bose link connector located

on these products. The adapter derives

power from the SoundTouch product and

contains the Wi-Fi circuitry that allows

connection to the customer's wireless

network. The non-Airplay version of the

wireless adapter also has a USB connec-

tion which connects to the system's media

center.

This part is critical for safety purposes. Failure to use a substitute replacement with

the same safety characteristics as the recommended replacement part might create shock,

fire and/or other hazards.

4. When replacing the programmed Wi-Fi module, the serial number and country code must be

set on the replacement board before returning the unit to the customer. Refer to pages 33

and 34 for procedures.
