Remove the back cover using the notch located at the bottom of the phone.

Align the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts in the battery compartment.
3.
Press the battery into place.
4.
Replace the back cover by pressing it onto the phone.

Power the phone off.

Remove the back cover using the notch located at the bottom of the phone.
3.
Lift the battery out of the compartment using the gap located above the battery slot.

Tips to save battery life
To save and extend battery life, follow these steps:
Adjust screen settings
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Display.
5.
Tap Brightness.
6.
If necessary, clear the Automatic brightness check box.
7.
Touch the Brightness slider and slide left to lower the screen brightness.
8.
Tap OK.
9.
Tap Sleep.
10. Tap 15 seconds.
Turn off Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi
1.
From any Home screen, touch the Notification bar and slide down.
2.
If necessary, tap the following icons to turn off:

Wi-Fi
o
Bluetooth
3.
Touch the shortcut bar and slide left.
4.
If necessary, tap GPS to turn off.
Turn off Auto-Sync

From any Home screen, touch the Notification bar and slide down.
2.
If necessary, touch the shortcut bar and slide left.
3.
Tap Auto-Sync to turn off.
Use 2G networks only
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.

Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
