    USE & PLACEMENT The HEGEL H80 should be placed on a hard, flat surface to ensure proper cooling. Air circulation is required above and below the amplifier, so be certain there is space above and below it. The amplifier performs best after being powered on for 1 hour, to warm up the electronics.

    The volume control knob is on the right side of the front panel. The volume level is indicated by a number between 0 and 99 in the right side of the display. The H80 powers up with a preset volume value. The volume level is adjusted by turning the volume knob clockwise or counter clockwise, or by using the Hegel remote control.

  • Page 5 Using the USB Connection: When you connect the H80 to a computer with a USB cable (not included), the H80 will automatically in- stall itself as a USB soundcard on all newer versions of Windows and MAC OS, and most newer versions of Linux.

Pressing and holding will increase the output volume of Hegel DAC’s Input: To change the selected input on your H80 amplifier you can use the IN+ (1) and IN- (4) buttons, to browse through the different inputs.
