Driving and Operating
Automatic EPB Release
The EPB will automatically release if
the vehicle is running, placed into
gear and an attempt is made to
drive away. Avoid rapid acceleration
when the EPB is applied, to
preserve parking brake lining life.
Warning
If the parking brake is not set
properly, the vehicle may move
suddenly. See a repairer if an
adjustment is required.
Caution
Do not drive with the parking
brake on.
This can cause your rear parking
brakes to overheat or wear out
prematurely. You may have to
replace them, and you could
damage other parts of your
vehicle.
Caution
Do not park or operate your
vehicle over combustible
materials.
They could touch hot exhaust
parts under your vehicle and
ignite.

If you choose to install winter
tyres on your vehicle, be sure to
only use winter tyres that are
recommended by a repairer.
Using the wrong winter tyres may
adversely affect Stability System
performance.
See authorised repairer for details
regarding winter tyre availability
and proper tyre selection.
The ESC system is an electronic
vehicle stability control system and
driving safety supplementary system
that helps to avoid dangerous
situations by applying brakes on the
wheels or the engine torque to
