Recovery CDs

All of the Recovery CDs listed below are Tier 1 CRUs
(customer replaceable units).
Starting April 7, IBM will transition its Global fulfillment and
distribution process for ordering (FRU Recovery CD parts)
to our Authorized Replicator, who will become IBM's
Supplier and Distributor for FRU Recovery CDs. Recovery
CD FRU Parts will no longer be a part of Mechanicsburg
or Amsterdam Inventory. The World Wide Recovery CD
Initiative directs IBM ITS, BP and Service Representatives
to place Recovery CDs orders for entitled customers in
Canada, EMEA, LA and AP via URL:
(http://ibmdfi.modusmedia.com). This new process Does
Not apply to US (Domestic) Recovery CDs ordering,
distribution and fulfillment. Authorized Servicer
Pre-Registration for the Web site order fulfillment will begin
March 17 through April 5, 2003. Questions concerning the
Direct Fulfillment Project for Recovery CDs fulfilled by our
Supplier, is located in the Infotips Database.

Windows XP Home Edition is preinstalled as the operating
system in some models.
