- Page 2 ONYX Thank you for purchasing the American Weigh ONYX digital kitchen scale. Please read all operating instructions carefully before use. Scales are precision measuring devices and should always be handled with proper care. To ensure years of reliable service, keep these simple tips in mind: • Do not exceed the scale’s maximum capacity.

Place items to be weighed on the center of the scale platform. 5. When you are finished weighing, you can turn the scale off by holding the key for 2 seconds.
