1. Place a drain pan under the crankcase.
2. To drain the oil, remove the oil filler cap,
oil drain bolt ( ) and sealing washer ( ). 1
3. Remove the oil filter cover ( ), oil filter
( ), spring ( ) and spring seat ( ) by 4 5
removing the oil filter center bolt ( ).

4. Check the O-rings ( ) are in good
condition and apply a thin coat of engine
2 oil to the O-rings, then insert a new oil
3 filter, spring seat and spring to the oil
6 filter cover through the oil filter center
7 bolt.
Use only the Honda Genuine oil filter or a
filter of equivalent quality specified for
your model. Using the wrong Honda filter
or a non-Honda filter which is not of
equivalent quality may cause engine
damage.
