Connecting the IP Control Unit to a network
When you first receive your IP Control Unit, it is configured to obtain it's network IP address, subnet mask
and default gateway via DHCP. Follow the procedures listed below that best describe the situation that you
are installing the Control Units into.

3.1 Connecting the Control Unit via a crossover cable

Before connecting the IP Control Unit to the computer check that the PC's network connection is set to
'Obtain An IP Address Automatically'.
Click - Start
Click - Control Panel
Double Click - Network Connections
Select - Local Area Connection
Right Click and Select - Properties.
Click - Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Select - Properties
Select the first option - Obtain An IP Address Automatically
