I've just purchased a 70s TC-366 in perfect condition with several leads (all jack connecting) included. The description calls them RK-74s but that doesn't say so on the manual. It uses other terms. So 1) what are they and 2) can I use them to connect to a Lenova Edge laptop both for sound and to digitise reel tapes in Audacity program. Can I plug the 2 jacks into the deck and the other end jack into the microphone socket of the laptop. Or must I have a USB / RCA cable? Very many thanks.

@Mr. Anderson Very many thanks Mr Anderson. I appreciate your comprehensive and useful response. I have ordered a cable with a USB just in case. Although one of the connecting leads has a single jack on one end which does go into the laptop. My concern is that I don't damage anything if I connect up with this one! Presumably, and hopefully, it just wouldn't work and not do any damage!! Again, many thanks. If all would be well by my trying the jack option, then please don't feel obliged to reply again.
