Automatic Powerdown Saves Batteries

The automatic powerdown features help extend battery life by turning off the
LCD or camera power when the camera has been inactive (no buttons pushed
and no pictures taken) for the given time period.

Setting the Clock

It is important to set the correct date and time if you want to imprint the date
on your pictures (see

Turn on the camera and turn the Mode dial to Setup
NOTE: As a reminder to set the date and time, the Set Date & Time screen is
automatically displayed the first time you turn on the camera.
