The VTDU has no user-malntenanoe elernents, and
the warranty
wlll
be
volded It you open the
VTDU
enclosure.
During
the wananty period
(strandard
or
extended), the battery contained
within an integrated
circuit
inside the enclosure
will be
replaced free.
Post-wananty recommended battery maintenance
and
replacement instructions follow.

Replaoe
the
battery
only wtth the
sarne
or an
equiwlent tyPe as
recommended by
the manutacturer. Discard
used
batteries according
to the
manufacture/s instrustions.

The Dallas lntegrated
Cirqrit (DS1287),
located
on the
Controller
Assembly (Part
Number
9371253) in location
Ul2,
contains
a
lithium
battery
within the
antegrated
circuit. There
is
no
recommended
maintenance. However, if the
battery
fails,
the integrated circuit must
be
replaced
with an identical DS1287 circuit.
