WARNING NOTE: Never install a STU-lll Power Suppty
as input power for the
WDU.
The STU power suppty
is not rated for use as the power supply lor the
WDU.
Both
power supplies have the same power-out
connector. The
power supply
fumished with the VTDU
is rated lor the
WDU.
Do not add peripherals or non-
AT&T STU
lll
units
to the PWB-OIJT connector of the
VTDU
without approval of the AT&T Secure
Gommunications
Customer Service Center.
Belore connecting the power supply cable to the PWR-
lN connector ol the
WDU,
make
sure that the power
OFF/ON switch ol the
WDU is
in the OFF position.
Internal
Video Devices
Camera
The upper display housing contains a color CCD
integrated custom camera and lens assembly.
Display
The upper display housing also contains a color LCD
display mounted next to the camera. The display has a
horizontal viewing angle of +i-45 degrees and a vertica!
viewing angle ol +10 degrees, -30 degrees. The
VTDU is available with either a 4-inch or a &inch
diagonal color LCD display.
Operation of the VTDU
The VTDU operates primary through a menu system
displayed on the LCD screen that utilizes the five panel
lunction keys below the screen. When the menu
system is deactivated, the live panel lunction keys and
a volume roc*er key
provide
their labeled functions.
When the menu system is active, these keys assume
the lunctions displayed on the bottom
ol
LCD screen.
Chapters 3 and 4 explain the lunction and operation
ol
the menu system and the panel
keys.
