or setup purposes.

(EWf) to protect a volume from write
access. current changes to configura-
tion or personal settings are stored in
temporary cache memory. default state
is set to "Enabled" (changes will not
be saved)
to make and save changes, access the
EWf configuration dialog:
1. log in as an Administrator
2. Select Start > Control Panel > EWF
3. Select Disable EWF
4. click Yes to commit the overlay
5. make the desired configuration
6. the device will then reboot with the

Tips:
1. Enable the write filter when you
no longer want to make permanent
changes.
2. if EWf is disabled, it will remain
disabled until it is manually enabled
or the thin client is restarted.
3. be sure to re-enable it when you
no longer want to write permanent
changes
to the flash memory.
4. reboot the system for the command
to take effect.
5. all changes since boot-up of device
(intentional or unintentional), will
be written to disk when commit
changes.
6. current default ramdisk (Z:) size
is set at 16mb. if you need to add
applications and driver, you may
need to increase this temporary
storage: click Start > Control Panel
> HP RAMDisk Manager
