Introduction Imaging an HP Compaq Thin Client t5700 or t5710 with Altiris RapiDeploy is a process similar to imag- ing a PC, but with a few limitations and advisories. Conflicts with the write filter partition and current imaging technology can cause problems if not handled correctly.

HP Thin Clients. Jobs for creating and distributing disk images which properly handle the EWF partition can be found in the Jobs pane under the heading HP Thin Cli- ents. These can also be created manually using the following steps. -

EWF from the Deployment Server Console or by running the command ewfmgr c: -disable on the machine under an account with Administrative privileges. Reboot the HP Compaq Thin Client t5700 and press F12 when the HP logo is displayed during sys- tem restart. -
