Cause & Troubleshooting
•
Error has occurred. Try to restart the DVD video camera/recorder
using the following methods:
(1) Turn power off, remove the battery or AC adapter/charger and
reattach it, and then turn power on again.
(2) Turn power off, and reinsert the disc. Then turn power on
again.
(3) See *3 on page 174.
(4) If you have another disc available, check to see if any problem
occurs with the disc. If another disc can be used normally, the
original disc may be defective: Contact the disc manufacturer.
If the above procedures cannot solve the problem, take note
of the error number, and contact your dealer.
Reference: "Error Code 2881" shows that the disc cannot be
recognised properly.
Replace with a charged battery, or use AC adapter/charger to
power the DVD video camera/recorder.
Select only movies and combine them.
Select a range of at least 2 scenes to be combined, and then
combine them.
This may occur when scene that was edited for division, etc. is to be
deleted.
Combine the divided scenes, and then delete them.
This message will appear if you attempt to combine or move scenes
with "Category: VIDEO or PHOTO" specified.
Division or change in thumbnail was executed when multiple
scenes were selected.
Are you using DVD-R disc? You cannot record still image on DVD-
R disc (recordable of still images from PC). Use DVD-RAM disc to
record still images.
The thumbnail of a still cannot be changed.
Select a movie.
The maximum number of selectable scenes is 999.
Remaining space is only enough to record less than 10 stills.
Delete unnecessary stills and try the card, or use another card.
Was the card formatted on PC? Was formatting interrupted
midway? When using the card on this DVD video camera/recorder,
choose "YES" and format it.
The card may be damaged: Use another card.
