Cleaning and care

Make sure that water cannot get into
the electronic unit or the lighting.
Do not use a steam cleaner. Steam
could reach electrical components
and cause a short circuit.
The data plate inside the appliance
must not be removed. It contains
information which is required in the
event of a service call.
To avoid damaging the surfaces of
your appliance, do not use:
– cleaning agents containing soda,
ammonia, acids or chlorides,
– cleaning agents containing
descaling agents,
– abrasive cleaning agents, e.g.
powder cleaners and cream
cleaners,
– solvent-based cleaning agents,
– stainless steel cleaning agents,
– dishwasher cleaner,
– oven sprays,
– glass cleaning agents,
– hard, abrasive sponges and
brushes, e.g. pot scourers,
– melamine eraser blocks,
– sharp metal scrapers.

The drip tray cover, the dispenser
spout, and the back and the frame of
the ice/water dispenser have been
treated with a high-quality coating to
protect against soiling and make
cleaning easier.
Do not use the following on the drip
tray cover, the dispenser spout, or
the back and the frame of the ice/
water dispenser:
– stainless steel cleaning agent:
this will damage the surface.
– Miele stainless steel conditioning
agent:
this will cause noticeable smearing.
Do not clean the drip tray cover or
the ice/water dispenser spout in a
dishwasher. This will damage the
surface.
Do not attach magnets to the
surface as it is susceptible to
scratching.
Do not use sticky notes, transparent
adhesive tape, masking tape or
other types of adhesive on treated
surfaces. These will damage the
surface, causing it to lose its dirt
repellent protective coating.
