TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Motor will not start or stops while
operating.
Circuit breaker trips or fuse
blown in fuse box.
Water or oil leaking from bottom
of pump.
Water leaking from garden
hose inlet connection.
Trigger will not move.
Unit will not stop when trigger is
released.
Motor running but pump not
building maximum pressure or
has irregular pressure.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Defective GFCI.
Extension cord length or gauge incorrect. Use proper extension cord. See Operator's
Loose or disconnected plug.
Tripped pressure washer thermal switch. Allow to cool and restart unit.
Spray Gun Trigger not operating
properly.
Defective gun.
Circuit overload.
Extension cord too long or wire size too
small.
Nozzle partially blocked.
Excessive pressure.
A small amount of leakage is normal.
Garden hose connector is not
fully tightened.
Spray gun safety lock engaged.
Spray gun trigger system not operating
properly.
Faucet closed.
Water inlet screen clogged.
Gun and hose failure.
Kink in garden hose.
Nozzle worn out.
Air in pump.
Clogged nozzle.

CORRECTION
Perform GFCI reset procedure. See Operator's
Manual page 6.

Reconnect plug.
Call Customer Service.
Remove gun, aim water stream away from
electrical source, and press ON. If machine
starts, replace gun assembly by contacting
Customer Service.
Check that the circuit is rated 15 amps or
greater.
Use proper extension cord as recommended on
Operator's Manual page 6.
Clean nozzle as instructed on page 14.
Clean nozzle as instructed on page 14.
If excessive leaking occurs, call Customer
Service.
Tighten garden hose connector by turning
. clockwise.
Release safety lock.
Call Customer Service.
Open faucet.
Clean screen. See page 14.
Replace gun and hose.
Straighten hose.
Replace spray nozzle.
Let pressure washer run with gun open and
wand removed until steady stream of water is
released.
Clean nozzle. See manual page 14.
