- To ensure a precise and accurate temperature measurement, it is important that the user has received
adequate training and information regarding the temperature measurement technique for the device.
- It is important to remember that although the actions required to take the temperature are simple, they
should not be trivialised.
- The temperature should be taken in a neutral context. The patient should not have undertaken vigorous
activity before temperature measurement and the room temperature should be moderate.
- Take note of physiological temperature variations which should be taken into account when reading the
results: temperature increases by 0.5C° between 6am and 3pm. On average women's temperature is higher
by 0.2C°. Also, women's temperature varies in relation to their ovarian cycle, it rises by 0.5C° in the second
half of the cycle and in the early stages of pregnancy.
- When sitting, temperature is lower by between 0.3 and 0.4C° than when standing.
Aim the device at the FOREHEAD, over the temporal area from a
distance of 5 cm, press the thermometer's measure button and the
temperature will be displayed instantly, the result is also read aloud (in voice
mode).
The temperature can be measured on other parts of the body but
the accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
