    The battery meter on the display shows minutes remaining and a capacity remaining percentage for smart batteries, or else just a voltage reading. If the Shutdown volts setting in the System menu has been set too high for your battery, then you may not be able to start up normally. In this case boot the Onboard S into safe mode by pressing a thin implement, such as a paperclip, through the small hole next to the power button, whilst pressing the power button.
  • Page 4 THE ONBOARD S CONTROL PANEL AND MENU SYSTEM There are a few global rules about how the Control Panel operates, which will be dealt with before menu specifics: MONITOR/RECORD JOG WHEEL (TURN) STOP/SELECT (PRESS) MAIN MENU MULTI-FUNCTION BUTTONS HOLD SWITCH You are only ever two button presses from recording: if you are anywhere in the menu system then one press of the Monitor/Rec button will engage Monitor mode, and a second press will begin a recording.
