The intake air system of this engine is optimized by VGT and a highly efficient intercooler system.
The pressure of the air system is up to abs. 2.5 bar in order to optimize engine combustion.

1. ENGINE ROOM VENTILATION

1) Engines with turbocharger air inlet systems require much more cool fresh air than non-
turbocharged engines.
(Maximum air consumption is 600kg/h, minimum engine room vent area is 40cm
2) The cool fresh air must be pumped into the engine in order to perform at normal power and
fuel consumption.
3) The temperature at the air inlet should be as low as possible. A high temperature of inlet air
may reduce engine performance.
