Delayed Locking

This feature delays the locking of
the doors until five seconds after all
doors are closed.
When
is pressed on the power
door lock switch while the door is
open, a chime will sound three
times indicating delayed locking is
active.
The doors will lock automatically
five seconds after all doors are
closed. If a door is reopened before
that time, the five-second timer will
reset when all doors are closed
again.
Press
on the door lock switch
again or press
on the RKE
transmitter to lock doors
immediately.
This feature can also be
programmed. See Vehicle
Personalization on page 5-43.

Automatic Door Locks

When the doors are closed, the
ignition is on, and the shift lever is
moved out of P (Park) for automatic
transmissions, or the vehicle speed
is above 13 km/h (8 mph) for
manual transmissions, the doors
will lock.
To unlock the doors:
Press
on a power door lock
switch.
If equipped with an automatic
transmission, shift the
transmission into P (Park).
If equipped with a manual
transmission, remove the key
from the ignition when parked.
Automatic door unlocking can be
programmed through the Driver
Information Center (DIC). See
Vehicle Personalization on
page 5-43.

driver door open and the key in the
ignition, all the doors will lock and
then the driver door will unlock. This
can be manually overridden by

If Open or Unlocked Door
Anti-Lockout is turned on, the
vehicle is off with the driver door
open, and door locking is requested,
all the doors will lock and only the
driver door will unlock. The Open or
Unlocked Door Anti-Lockout feature
can be turned on or off using the
