Yoga Smart Home System Components Installa-
tion
The following chapter describes the installation of Yoga components.
All peripheral device requirements and installation instructions are described in the chapter Peripheral Device
Requirements and Installation.
For detailed technical information about each component, please refer to the product sheets.
All Yoga components have to be installed following Yoga instructions; otherwise, Yoga will not be able to offer
technical support for the installer, there may be an extra charge for the technical support, and the component
warranty may be void.
Yoga Cloud Server
General Description
Yoga Cloud Server is set up by Yoga or service provider. An installer doesn't have to take care of it.
Yoga Smart Home Gateway
General Description
The Yoga Smart Home Gateway is the local brain of the Yoga Smart Home system. It takes care of a local in-
stallation and transfers local information to the Yoga Cloud Server for logging and management.
The Yoga Smart Home Gateway is capable of functioning without Yoga Cloud Server connections. The Yoga
Smart Home Gateway logs locally all data and after a connection has been recovered, it transfers local logs to
the Yoga Cloud Server, which will store it in a database.
The Yoga Smart Home Gateway always initiates the connection with the Yoga Cloud Server and blocks all in-
coming connections for security reasons.
Connection Scheme
There are several types of Yoga Smart Home Gateway hardware available.
Depending on device type different connection schematics apply. The common part of connections include:
Power (+5VDC, +12VDC)

Ethernet network (RJ45)
•
Smart Home Gateways might have wireless interfaces e.g. ZigBee, Bluetooth LE.

Installation Requirements
The Yoga Smart Home Gateway, with passive cooling, doesn't have special installation requirements, as long as
the room's temperature stays within the temperature limits.
