Introduction The goal of this document is to assist installers to physically set up a Yoga Smart Home solution. In turn, the in- stallers will also learn about Yoga Smart Home's architecture. Yoga is an intelligent smart home platform that connects and interconnects anything you can think of: wired and wireless security sensors, cameras, thermostats, smart plugs, lights, entertainment systems, locks and appli - ances.

Video To provide video surveillance functionality, Yoga uses a cloud-based video platform. Users can still start and stop recording video stream manually or with automation rules through Yoga Smart Home service in a purpose to guarantee the authorized video streaming.
  • Page 6: Building Level Architecture

Building Level Architecture Yoga Smart Home devices are typically connected to a building's local area network (LAN) or in case of higher security requirements to a separate LAN. Yoga has several types Smart Home Gateways, each of them having a different configuration and therefore a dedicated connection schematics are provided below.

The connection is fully encrypted. YogaBus Gateway – Yoga controllers (incl. Yoga 1-wire Gateway) The YogaBus Gateway connects Yoga controllers to a Smart Home Gateway. RS485 protocol is used to connect Yoga controllers. It is essential that the RS485 network be installed in a standard way (a description can be seen at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS485).

Yoga 1-wire Gateway – Yoga 1-wire Sensors The Yoga 1-wire Gateway connects Yoga 1-wire sensors with the Smart Home Gateway through YogaBus Gate- way. Standard 1-wire cabling methods are required (http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/an/AN148.pdf). Operating a 1-Wire network beyond the limits or disregarding advice given in this document may result in unreliable network performance.
