Precautions Regarding Use
Installation
÷ Install the player in a level and stable location.
Do not use in unbalanced locations, or locations exposed to too much
vibration.
÷ Do not hinder the player's cooling functions. Avoid placing on long-
pile carpets, etc. Also do not wrap or cover with towels or cloths
when in use. Such coverings can impede the player's cooling function
and result in internal damage.
÷ Do not place objects on top of the player.
÷ Install in a location which is not exposed to heat sources. Avoid
installing the player above an amplifier or other heat-emitting
component. If installing the player in a component rack, select a rack
with good ventilation and , located well below the amplifier.

Operating Environment

Operating environment temperature and humidity:
+5°C ~ +35°C; less than 85% RH (cooling vents not blocked)
7 Do Not Install in the Following Locations:
÷ exposed to direct sunlight or strong artificial light
÷ exposed to dust or smoke
÷ subject to vibration
÷ subject to strong electro-magnetic fields
÷ near sources of heat
÷ exposed to high levels of electronic noise
÷ subject to electrostatic noise
÷ exposed to high humidity, or poor ventilation
Condensation
Moisture will form in the operating section of the player if the
player is brought from cool surroundings into a warm room or if
the temperature of the room rises suddenly. When this happens,
the player's performance may be impaired.
To prevent this, let the player stand in its new surroundings for
about an hour before switching it on, or make sure that the room
temperature rises gradually.
Condensation may also form during the summer if the player is
exposed to the breeze from an air conditioner. In such cases,
change the location of the player.

Moving the Player

When transporting this player to a new location, be sure to use
the packaging provided and avoid subjecting the player to
vibration, shock, or dropping. During transport, protect the player
from exposure to heat or water.
Before packaging the player, remove any disc loaded, since
moving the player with a loaded discs may cause damage to
the disc or player's internal parts.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS!
Never attempt to move the player while a disc is playing.
Discs rotate at very high speeds, and lifting or moving a
player at such times could cause damage to the disc.
Subjecting the player to strong impact or vibration when a
disc is loaded may cause damage to a disc or the player.
Be sure the player is stopped and no discs are loaded
before moving the player.
Verify that the disc tray is empty before lifting the player.
This component is built using precision optical parts. Take
care to control temperature and dust inside the room where
this player is installed.
÷ When installing this player for use in a stereo component
rack, consider a rack that prevents temperature buildup.
Avoid blocking the cooling vents on the top and bottom of
player. When using a rack mount, certain conditions must
be met regarding attachment of the unit. Please consult
your nearest Pioneer dealer for details before installing.
÷ When multiple players are connected in parallel, a high surge
current will be passed through the units when the power is
first turned on. Please consult your Pioneer dealer regarding
ratings to select the appropriate power switch.
