DVD Players – Touch Screen Resources

Overview

Many DVD-V7200 and DVD-V7400 end-users are interested in adding a touch screen option for controlling the
player. Pioneer elected to refer these customers to outside sources for a touch screen device.

Explanation

These touch screens are NTSC monitors that plug directly in to the RS232 and A/V connections on the back of
a Pioneer player. No additional programming other than normal disc authoring is required. The touch screen
interprets and sends user responses to the player.
Currently two corporations have designed and built touch screen systems to work with the Pioneer player. Both
companies have worked with Pioneer New Media Engineers to verify compatibility before releasing the devices.
