USING THE COOKING FUNCTIONS

SAUTÉ FUNCTION
1. Press the Power
2. Press Sauté "Sofreír" Button. High "AL" and On "Encendido" will be displayed on the
LCD.
3. To change the temperature, press the Down
"AL" to Low "BA". If you are using this function for the first time, we recommend that
you use Medium High "M AL" temperature.
4. To select time press Time "Tiempo" Button UP . The time available ranges from 5
minutes to 1-½ hours. It is not necessary to use a preset time for this function.
5. Press Start/Stop "Iniciar/Parar" Button.
6. Preheating will flash on LCD until appliance is fully heated – then will disappear. If a
time has been selected, it will re-appear and start counting down. There will be an
audible signal.
7. Add ingredients, being careful to not overfill.
8. If cooking is complete, press Power

16. To turn off the appliance, press the Power
WARNING: Do not touch the metal housing of the appliance with unprotected
hands while in use or until it has cooled completely.
Cooking without the timer:
When using the sauté function, it is not necessary to select a time. Since this is usually a
hands-on process, setting a time is not usually necessary.
Tips for sautéing:
• There is no need to use a skillet to brown foods before using another function. They
can be browned using this function right in the 5-in-1 Cooking System.
• Because the inner pot has a ceramic non-stick coating, it is not necessary to use oils
or fats. If desired, add a small amount.
