Do you have a question about the XStream Filtration Series and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
When trying to open filter body (m/n CC150CAN) to clean or change filter cartridge, how do you stop the bottom from moving around, & potentially damaging connecting pipes? I end up leaning my chest on it to hold it down You should really have included moulded feet on the bottom piece.
To stabilize the bottom of the Hayward CC150CAN filter body while cleaning or changing the filter cartridge and prevent damage to the connecting pipes, set the filter on firm, level ground in a well-drained area. This positioning helps maintain balance and prevents stress on the plumbing connections.

@Mr. Anderson
@Mr. Anderson well that answer really doesn't answer the question. I have my filter on a level paving stone. To ensure the filter doesn't turn, while trying to remove it ( & ring was lubricated before closing, always), I always have to put my full 300 lbs+ weight on the top, so plumbing lines aren't affected. A bit awkward. As I said, the bottom piece should have 'feet' molded onto it, to facilitate the removal of the top piece.
