There should always be sufficient space between items of food in your refrigerator to
ensure the cold air is able to circulate around the unit. Placing too much food into the
refrigerator will increase energy costs and lower efficiency.
Food stored in the refrigerator should be stored in sealed packets to prevent food
becoming dry and to prolong the life of the food.
Hot food should be fully cooled before placing in the refrigerator to prevent the
refrigerator temperature from rising. Failure to cool items prior to placing in the
refrigerator will increase energy consumption.
Reducing the time the refrigerator door is open for will reduce energy consumption.

Temperature selection

The temperature of the refrigerator is controlled manually by the knob – see below.
However the number shown on the knob does not directly represent the temperature. The
larger the number, the lower the interior temperature will be.'4' represents normal use. 1
is the warmest setting and 7 is the coolest.

Power failure

If there is a power failure during the storage of cold foods, keep the door closed. If the
temperature within your fridge or freezer rises, damaged food stuffs may need to be
discarded.
