3. Getting Ready

Before you start using your device, you must install a USIM/SIM card and a charged battery. The
USIM/SIM card contains your phone number and service details, and it stores phonebook entries
and your messages.
Install the USIM/SIM card
1. Make sure your device is turned off.

Slide the cover latch to remove the battery cover.
Then remove the battery. Lift the battery up from the upper left side of the battery slot using
your finger.

Insert the USIM/SIM card into the SIM card slot with its gold contacts facing down (the cut-off
corner of the card should match the cut-off corner in the slot).
Slide the USIM/SIM
card into the SIM
card slot.
