MTA LED Status Indicators

Determine the status of your MTA device by noting the LED behavior.

If the MTA device's LED indicators signal that there is a problem, please refer to
the Troubleshooting section on page 9 in this Guide.

Light Status

Steady
The device power is on.
Off
The device power is off.
Blinking slow
The device failed to download a configuration
(3 seconds on,
file or to register with the SIP server.
3 seconds off)
Blinking fast
The device is actively downloading a
(1 second on,
configuration file or a firmware update.
1 second off)
The device has been configured successfully
Steady
and is running normally.
The power is off or the device is
Off
malfunctioning.
Blinking fast
Data is being transferred.
The device is connected to a broadband
Steady
network.
The device is not connected to a broadband
Off
network.
Blinking
Data is being transferred.
Steady
The device is connected to an external PC.
The device is not connected to an external

PC.
A call is in progress (data is being

The device is ready to make calls.
