I have a KDC-X693 radio. I drained the battery of the vehicle it is in, twice. Now when I turn on the vehicle the radio does not power up as it used to do. I have tried the reset button with no result. Any idea what the problem is? A fuse maybe.

If a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X993 radio is not powering up after the vehicle's battery has been drained, possible causes could include:
1. Blown Fuse – A power surge from the drained battery could have blown the radio's fuse. Check and replace the fuse if necessary. 2. Reset Required – The unit may need to be reset. Press the reset button on the control unit. 3. Wiring Issues – Loose or disconnected power or ground wires could prevent the unit from turning on. Inspect and secure all connections. 4. Battery Voltage – If the vehicle's battery is still low, the radio may not receive enough power to function properly. Ensure the battery is fully charged. 5. Security Code Activation – If security features are enabled, the radio may require a security code after power loss. Check if a code is needed and enter it correctly.
If the issue persists, consulting a Kenwood dealer or professional installer may be necessary.
