ADJUSTING TEMPERATURE
Your USI Laminator has been carefully factory-calibrated to produce a laminated pouch of high
quality. The temperature setting has been selected to process laminating pouches for good
adhesion to the document with maximum edge seal and minimum squeeze-out of the edges.
Squeeze-out can be minimized by decreasing the temperature. However, if the temperature is
decreased too much, the adhesive may fail to adhere properly to the document and the lami-
nation will appear cloudy. If the temperature is increased too much, the lamination may wrinkle
or bubble.
CAUTION - the maximum heat setting may cause damage to delicate
originals. Test before proceeding.
Your USI Laminator may emit some smoke the first few times it is used. There is no need for
alarm. This is normal and will cease after the heaters are used a few times.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS - SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
1.
Read all instructions before use.

Always unplug the laminator when not in use, or for cleaning.
3.
Do not use outdoors.
4.
Extreme caution should be taken when the laminator is used near children
or invalids.
5.
To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plug or the laminator
in water or any other liquid.
6.
Do not operate the laminator with a damaged cord or plug, if the laminator has
malfunctioned or has been dropped or damaged in any manner, return the
laminator to USI for repair.
7.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of operating surface or touch hot
surfaces.
8.
Do not use the laminator for anything other than its intended use.
