Power-On Self Test
The power-on self test (POST) is done each time your
system's power is switched on. The POST takes 13 to
90 seconds, depending on the amount of memory in
your system.

Turn the Contrast and Brightness controls on
your display or TV fully clockwise.

Switch on the power to all attached devices
(printer, TV, etc.).

Set the Power switch on the expansion unit (if
attached) to On.

Set the Power switch on the system unit to On.
There are normally three responses.
A
An indication of the memory test appears in
the upper-left corner of your screen. The
number should continue to increase until it
equals the amount of memory in your
system.
