Machine skips stitches
1. Needle size is not
correct

fabric.

- Decrease
top thread tension.

Needle thread breaks
1, Machine is started too fast. - Start to stitch
at a medium speed.

5i Eye of needle has sharp edges. - Replace
needle.

Machine does not feed fabric
1. Presser foot pressure is too light. - See

Feed cover plate is attached on needle plate.
- Remove feed cover plate.
Machine jams
1. Thread is caught in shuttle. Remove bobbin
case and clean shuttle (see page 21 ).

Needle is damaged. - Replace needle.
3.
Needle plate is bent. - Replace needle plate.
Machine will not sew
1. Hand wheel
is not returned
to stitching
position. - Push in clutch.
2.
Power cord is not connected. - Check plug.
3.
Power/light
switch is turned off. - Turn on
the switch.
