Shooting in Scene Mode
Taking Pictures for a Panorama
The camera focuses on the subject in the center of frame. Use a tripod for best
results. Set Vibration reduction
(~
109) to Off when using a tripod to stabilize
the camera during shooting.

Use the rotary multi selector to choose

Panorama assist
in the scene menu and
press the

button (~ 35).
• The

icon is displayed to show the direction in which
pictures will be joined.

Use the rotary multi selector to choose the
direction and press the

button.
• Select how pictures will be joined together in the
completed panorama; right

left (]), up (6) or
down
("7).
• The yellow panorama direction icon
([)[»)
will move to
the direction pressed and press the
®
button to
choose the direction. A white panorama direction icon
([»)
will be displayed in the
chosen direction.
• Apply flash mode (~ 30), self-timer (~ 32), macro mode (~ 33) and exposure
compensation (~ 34) settings with this step, if necessary.
• Press the

button to reselect the direction.

Shoot the first picture.
• The picture taken will be displayed in 1/3 of
the monitor.

Shoot the second picture.
• Compose the next picture so that it overlaps
the first picture.
• Repeat until you have taken the necessary
number of pictures to complete the scene.
