Symptom
The images or embedded characters
displayed on the monitor look blurry.
Cannot play back images.
Audio is not output from the camera.
Or audio is accompanied by noise.
Cannot control the cameras.
No alarm action is taken.
The "Communication error :cc" indi-
cation is displayed on the main mon-
itor.
The "Thermal error" indication is dis-
played on the main monitor.
The clock of the recorder may keep
bad time.
The HDD indicator is being lit red/
blinking red.
Cannot copy data on the SD memory
card.
Image data saved on the SD memory
card cannot be searched or played
back.
A pop-up is not displayed on the
browser.

Cause/solution
• Depending on the photographic subject or HDMI monitor that is
connected, images or embedded characters may look blurry.
That is not a trouble.
• Are there any recorded images on the hard disk drives?
Check if there are recorded images.
• Users who have logged into the system may not be authorized to
playback images recorded on the hard disk drives.
Check the user level settings of these users.
• Users who have logged into the system may not be authorized to
display images from the cameras.
Check the user level settings of these users.
• Is the audio encoding format of the camera set to
"G.726(32kbps)"? This recorder supports "G.726(32kbps)" only.
Check the setting of the connected camera.
• Check whether the camera numbers and IP addresses that are
displayed on the setup menu - the "Advanced setup" menu - the
[Camera] page - [Camera registration] tab.
• Check if the user name and password has correctly been entered
on the setup menu - the "Advanced setup" menu - the [Camera]
page - [Camera registration] tab.
• Check if alarm input signals are properly input to the ALARM/
CONTROL connector at the rear panel.
• Are the settings of the alarm terminals appropriate?
• Is "Off" or "Recording only" selected for "Mode"?
Check whether the settings are appropriate.
• Confirm that the camera is connected correctly and firmly.
Check the camera connection.
• If the connection is appropriate, the cable may be broken or the
camera may be out of order. Consult the dealer.
• The ambient operating temperature is +5 °C to +45 °C {41 °F to
113 °F}. The "Thermal error" indication is displayed when the
ambient operating temperature exceeds +45 °C {113 °F}. If the
"Thermal error" indication is displayed, it is recommended to
change the installation environment so that the ambient tempera-
ture is maintained at approx. +25 °C {77 °F}. When the "Thermal
error" indication is displayed frequently, contact your dealer.
• Has the built-in battery sufficiently been charged?
Charge the built-in backup battery by turning on the power for 48
hours or more.
• Is the built-in backup battery depleted?
The built-in battery life is around 5 years as an indication of
replacement. (The built-in battery life may become shorter
depending on the use condition.)
• The hard disk drive is faulty. Contact your dealer.
• Is a recommended SD memory card used?
• Some SD memory cards cannot be used with this recorder. It is
recommended to use Panasonic's SD memory card.
• Is the SD memory card formatted?
• Are data copied to the SD memory card
• It may be possible that a pop-up blocker other than Internet
Explorer is activating. Check the installed software and cancel the
pop-up blocker.
