Troubleshooting

Consult the following table to troubleshoot errors prior to sending the device to customer service.

Select "Hit Rat" and press "ENTER" to play the Hit Rat game.

Press the "ENTER" button in field "New Game" to start the game.
In this game you must "hit" the rat with the numeric buttons (1-9).
The game is over as the playing time is elapsed.

Press the "ENTER" button to pause the game and to change to
the left option column. In the option column the following menu
items are available:
New Game = Start a new game.
Speed = Set speed level.
Score List = The score list is displayed at the bottom left.
Help = Press
/ to page through the help file at the
bottom left.
Exit Game = Return to the "Native Games" submenu.
Continue = The game continues.
Main Menu = Return to the "Hit Rat" menu.
Solution
Warning:
Turn off the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check if the mains plug is connected correctly. If
necessary, test the outlet with another device for
functionality.
Turn the unit back on again with the main switch
(Fig. 1/17).
Warning:
Turn of the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check the proper position of the video cable. Check if the
plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
Turn of the main switch and disconnect the mains plug.
Re-connect mains plug and turn device on.
Warning:
Turn of the device prior to troubleshooting.
Ensure correct connection of the audio cable. Check if the
plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
Turn VOLUME control to increase the volume (Fig. 1/22).
Check for correct fit of the headphone plug.
The remote control does not point toward the device.
Ensure that the distance between remote control and
device does not exceed 5 meters.
Change battery in the remote control.
