2. Click Edit → Preferences.
3. Click the + sign next to Advanced.
4. Click Proxies.
5. Click Direct Connection to the Internet.
6. Click OK.

v If your DSL or cable modem provider is set up as a DHCP server, no
further steps are required to connect to the Internet. Go to "Step 8:
Connect to the Internet" on page 1-17.

If you cannot connect your computer to the Internet or your DSL or
cable modem provider requires you to specify IP or DNS settings,
continue with the following steps.
