INSPECT DRIVE BELTS

Visually check
the drive belt
for
cracks, oiliness or
wear.
Check
that
the belt does not
touch the
bottom
of
the
pulley
groove.

pump
and alternator is adjusted

turning
the adjusting
bolt.

replacing the drive
belt,
check

it
fits
properly
in the
ribbed
grooves, especially
in the places
difficult to
see.

Disconnect
the spark plug wires
at

boot.

pull on the wires.

spark
