With range hood in kitchen.

Open front of hood and remove
filter. Loosen four wing nuts that
attach fan to hood. Remove fan
power pack.

Determine which venting
method (roof, wall or nonvented)
you
need to use. This range hood is
shipped for vented installation. If
nonvented
installation is desired, follow
instructions on Panel D.

Remove knockout from the

vent opening to be used.

Check that range is centered
in
cabinet opening. Lift and place the
range hood on top of range. Reach
through the hood and mark the outline
of the vent opening on the cabinet
bottom or back wall. You can also use
the product dimensions given on Panel
A to mark the vent location.

*Slide cardboard
or hardboard
under range before moving range
across floor.
Failure to follow this instruction may
result in damage to floor covering.

Remove hood and set aside on
a protected
surface. Disconnect and
move range from cabinet opening to
provide easier access to upper
cabinet or rear wall.

Check that the vent opening was
correctly marked. The vent opening
should be centered between the
cabinets and large enough to fit 3-l/4" x
10" ductwork. Use a saber saw to cut
rectangle
opening for ductwork.

Install ductwork through the vent
opening in upper cabinet or wall.
Complete venting system according
to
method needed. See Venting
requirements. Use caulking to seal
exterior wall or roof opening.

Attach damper to hood. If
damper is attached
to the back of
hood, be sure damper hinge is toward
the top. Replace fan power pack.
Replace filter.

Place range hood on top of range
and lift front of hood. Connect
power
supply cord to receptacle
in top of
range.
