7.1.10 FAILURE JUDGMENT OF THE HDMI TRANSMITTER IC

• See "7.6 DISASSEMBLY" when replacing the DVDM Assy.
When the DVI video signal is not output
Is the analog video signal output?
Does the monitor support HDCP?
Purpose:
To check if there is any problem with the HDMI output line
(including the connectors.)
Failure judgment of the T-REX (IC1001: DVDM Assy)
Probe R1013-R1018 (22 ohms × 4, 6 sets) with an oscilloscope
to check if the amplitude of the waveform of each signal during
VCD playback changes between H (3.3 V) and L. Also probe
R1009 (27-MHz clock) to check if the 27-MHz clock signal is
properly output.
Failure in the T-REX or the line between the T-REX and IC1001
(Failure in the resistors mentioned above, defective soldering,
short-circuited signal, broken cable, etc. Replace the T-REX.)

process block is suspected.
